eDiets - Sample Menu

The variety of food options available on the eDiets Weight Loss diet plan is astounding, including protein rich foods like lean red meat, poultry, nuts, and seafood, and complex carbohydrates available in whole grains, vegetables, and an array of fresh fruits.

As with any reasonable and healthy eating plan, breakfast should always be taken as soon as possible within waking.  The reason for this is that it jump starts your metabolism, causing it to work harder and burn fat throughout your day.  Breakfast may include simple fare like yogurt or cold cereal with berries, or something more elaborate like an omelet stuffed with onions, green peppers, and tomatoes.  Adding fruit juice to your breakfast supplies you with an additional serving of fruit and contributes some quick-burning energy.  Oatmeal with raisins and almonds is another great choice.  Eating well does not have to be boring, and you can definitely create a number of various menu choices for breakfast that will keep the start of your day from being stale.

Investigate the recipes available at the eDiets website for many interesting lunch options, such as a homemade tomato pizza with salad and a serving of fruit on the side.  Ethnic alternatives are also available, like bean burritos, Greek pita sandwiches, or Asian sesame chicken over brown rice.  Dinner entrees include such treats as pork kabobs with baked sweet potatoes and salad, grilled shrimp over whole wheat linguine, and broiled Cajun whitefish with couscous and balsamic tomatoes.  When you are eating out, make sure to order only the leanest cut of red meat, or stick with a poultry or seafood entree.  Choosing the steamed veggies over a potato provides a great alternative, and lets you skip both butter and sour cream without even missing it.  Snacks include yogurt, cheese, raw veggies with dip, fruit and berries, and nuts.

Additionally, this diet plan allows occasional use of meal replacement bars and shakes in order to supplement your nutritional plan when you are too busy to stop for a meal. Skipping meals is a recipe for disaster with any diet plan, and so you should always make sure to have a supply of prepared meals in your pantry in order to avoid the temptation to grab fast food or skip your meal all together.
